End of Life Services

We pride ourselves on providing personal care for our clients and their beloved pets during this most difficult point in life. As our pets approach the end of their lives, it is important that family members give some thought as to how they wish to move through this final transition.

IN-HOME HOSPICE CARE 

  • For owners who wish for their pets to pass at home
  • Veterinary supervision for last stage of life
  • Assessment of quality of life and comfort throughout
  • Recommendations or intervention when deemed medically necessary
  • Respect for owner’s wishes for their pet while representing their pet’s medical needs
  • Providing support throughout the process

IN-HOSPITAL EUTHANASIA 

Your pet is provided with sedation and family is given as much time as needed to allow all present to find calm and acceptance of what is occurring. When the time is appropriate, pets are helped to transition through intravenous injection. Family members are given the time needed to be with their friend and say goodbye.

  • With or without owners present
  • At time when best for family, at a pace that works for family

IN-HOME EUTHANASIA 

We will attend to your pet in your home, or at any location that is meaningful or most comfortable for both the family and your pet.  Your pet is provided sedation and family is given as much time as needed to allow all present to find calm and acceptance of what is occurring. When the time is appropriate, pets are helped to transition through intravenous injection. Family members are given the time needed to be with their friend and say goodbye.

  • We will respectfully transport your pet where our after care services will tend to your after care wishes

AFTER CARE SERVICES

We use the services of Until We Meet Again Pet Memorial Centre located in North Vancouver. Until We Meet Again Pet Memorial Center follows strict guidelines set out by the Pet Loss Professional Alliance. When considering cremation, it is important to understand your different options:

  • Private Cremation – pet’s ashes are returned to the owner in an urn or in a scattering bag
  • Communal Cremation – pet’s ashes are not returned to owner.  Your loved one’s ashes will be scattered on a private country meadow in North Vancouver.
